Wayne has moved in!! Wayne is one of our youth who has been involved in the calvary chapel here from the beginning. He walked away from the Lord and had a rough few years. He rededicated his life and returned to reborn to serve alongside zach. We sent him to serve at a Christian conference center in Austria and he is back now living on our top floor and interning at the church. Please be praying for the financial provision to feed another mouth and to help get him back on his feet. He is growing spiritualy each day and is excited for what the Lord is going to do in his life.

Baptism!! How wonderful it is to witness the work of the Lord in the lives of the English. 7 new believers were baptised this past week. Before their baptism they each shared how the Lord had completly changed their lives and given them hope for the first time. This brought tears to all of our eyes. What an exciting night it was. Many unbelievers were there watching their family get baptised, they had never seen anything like this before, what a testimony!

Reborn is back on!! We were not too sure what it would look like after being closed for 6 weeks, but the kids came! 25 youth showed up! 4 who had never been before. It was really encouraging to see the youth excited to be back at reborn. They are once again freely stopping by our house at all hours, to seek advice, to talk, or just to hang out.

Reborn movie night's are on Wednesday thru the month of August. The movies we are showing in some way share the Gospel. We have about 30 kids coming either from reborn or who received an invite via facebook. It has been exciting to see the kids coming and that they are hearing the Gospel.

On July 24th this will be our new home. With our visa's still up in the air and the possibility of having to leave the country, we are still going to go ahead and move into our new home. The land lord knows all about our dilema and he has known our pastor for quite some time so he is working with us. We are so thankful for this place, the Lord has answered our prayers to the "t". We were praying for a place that was in more of the rougher area of Brid, among the youth, and closer to the church. Also for room to house our weekly bible college students, room for Judah, and a back garden. Well, it has all of that and more. 4 bedrooms, 2 bath, living room, dinning room, office!! This is going to open so many more doors for us to reach out to the community. Before we were living on a top floor flat, the elderly found it difficult to get up the stairs, so they wouldn't come over, we also began to feel like it was to small and noisy to have more than a couple of youth over at a time. Just recently one of our youth kids who had been coming to reborn for about 5 years has come back to the Lord. Wayne had walked away from Christ, being taken away by the cares of this world. We would only see him every once in a blue moon. He is now in a place of full surrender to Him and is serving at reborn. He has been a great help for zach since there is now over 30 kids coming each Friday. Wayne is now 19 and has been given an incredible opportunity to serve at the calvary chapel conference center in Austria. We feel that it will be best for him to get out of Brid for a while and take some time to be discipled and to work hard. He leaves on the 13th of September to serve thru the winter into next summer.

Thank you for all the prayers, God really did bless the kids so much this year. The feed back from many of the 75 youth that went was very encouraging. So exciting how the Lord is equipping the next generation in the U.K to be set apart and to live as Christ. The 6 reborn kids we brought had never seen anything like it, as they are living in darkness. They were shocked to see youth their own age on fire for the Lord, seeking to love Him more and to do His will.

This year's youth retreat is finally here. Our youth have waited anxiously for this day. We are so excited for this year as there will be many more youth groups from all over England and Scotland attending. This comes at perfect timing with our group of newly saved kids, it will be so encouraging for them to see other youth excited about Christ and living for Him. We are bringing 6 of our youth and there will be over 100 all together. May 3rd we sent in our visa applications!!!! After much answered prayer from the Lord we were able to apply for a 3 year extension. God is so good. It could be a few weeks or it could be a few months before we know the outcome. Please be praying for us in the financial side of things, just a few weeks before we applied the price for our family jumped...we are now paying 2,137.00 dollars (1,297.00 pounds) YIKES! We sent in our forms not having the money, but we are believing that if God is wanting us here then He will take care of it. We are praying that the money will be in the bank when they debit it. Our Thursday Night Foundations group has now grown to 10. Last Thursday we discussed the importance of spending time with the Lord everyday. God is continuing to work in these kids' lives, as they are continuing to trust Him. They are so young and fragile, so new to this walk with Christ. So our prayer is that the Father continues to keep them. They are facing persecution already, from friends and family, they are beginning to see the cost of surrendering all to Christ.

The Thursday night Bible study is now on it's second week. Already people are coming from around this town of Beverley. Loren is going thru the book of Philippians and James is coming up from York to lead worship. We are excited to see what the Lord is going to do.

We had our second discipleship with the youth last Thursday, thank you for all your prayers! The evening went really well once again. It was great having Rob there, who has known the Lord for a couple years now, but is having problems growing up in Christ. The group as a whole is doing well, we spent time praying, digging in the Word and answering questions. Our time now is busier than ever, not only are we discipling this group as a whole, the youth are coming to both Miranda or I on an individual bases...makes for a busy, crazy time. These youth seem to each have their own trial before them and we are seeking to come along side them pointing them to Christ. Please be praying that God would train these youth up to disciple their friends. That the Lord would bring more laborers and/or raise them up.

Praise God for the lost who have come to Christ!!! 5 of our youth gave their lives to Christ either before the concert, during the or after the concert. God really worked in an amazing way the entire week. We are meeting with these and 3 other youth who are Christians in our living room every thursday. Last thursday was our first one and words can't describe how it went..but I will do my best. We simply opened up Ephesians and began discussing who we were before Christ and who we are now in Christ, some of the youth could only break down crying as they tried to express the new found joy of living a life after God. These youth began to see the realness of their new relationship with Christ. We will continue much like last Thursday to spend time going thru the Word, praying, and seeking to simply grow in the Lord. We are just about ready to send our applications away for an extended 3 year visa!!!
Very exciting but uncertain times as well, we will know the answer no later than May. It takes the Border Agency a few months to process everything. Please come along side us in prayer as we are seeking the Lord for His leading during this time. The Lord is continuing to grow our heart for the people here in northern England and for the ministry here. So it would be difficult to have to go home, but at the same time we just wants His perfect will to be worked out in our family.

God is so good! Someone in our church in Bridlington has purchased flight tickets to Hungary for Loren and Zach. It was to see how the Lord just laid it on someone's heart to provide in this way. This came in the perfect time as we did not have the money to fly over there. For our family it has been mind blowing to see God provide for us every day!!! Thank you for all your prayers.

We were able to go down to the embassy in London last week and apply for Judah's passport. He is now an American citizen, wooooooo! Orphanage visit

December 2-10 Loren and Zach will be going to the Orphanage in Hungary to visit the orphans. They will be bringing gifts donated by the church. The point of the trip is to stay in touch with the orphans hat came to visit us and to continue to pour into there lives. Please be praying that God will supply all the needs for this trip, especially financially. These kids really do mean so much to the fellowship here in Brid so it is quite exciting that God is allowing us to continuing reaching out to them.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! The orphans had the time of there lives, literally. They had never experienced anything like this. They got to hear about how much God loves them and have fun exploring England as well. It was such a blessing to see how random people from the town were taking part by donating clothes to these kids. Also how the Reborn kids got to take part also. We definetly want to do this again next year and will be praying about that. Loren and Zach have been in contact with the leaders from the orphanage in Hungary and are praying about going for a visit in December, taking presents to these kids. What an incredible joy it is to be able to invest in there lives.

The Lord has provided Calvary Chapel and three other churches another amazing opportunity to reach out to our town! A local coffee shop called "coffee coast" is opening it's doors for us to host a 6 week study through the book of Mark. Zach went to the prayer meeting the churches had for this outreach and it was so exciting to hear all the prayers the fellowships had for this Event. Please pray with us for everyone who will be invited and also for the staff who we see quite often as this is our favorite coffee shop and it is right near our church. Christianity Explored begins on Sept. 14.

10 Hungarian orphans will be arriving in a week. Please be praying with us as we are opening up our doors for these kids and excited to watch the Lord work in there lives. There is a ministry in Hungary that reaches out to the youth there by taking them out of their element for a couple weeks to teach them the Gospel. They are bringing them to our church where our fellowship can share with them. Please pray that they will mix well with the youth here and that the Lord will also be working in the Reborn kids' lives :)

In August we will be taking a handful of Reborn kids to Creationfest! We are so excited for these guys to experience 7 days of Christian music, the Word, and fun. The event was handed over to Calvary Chapel last year so this means a lot of work for the Calvary Chapels in the U.K. Please be praying for all the volunteers who will be coming from all over, even a group of 80 coming from America, pray that the Lord will bring everything together and that the youth who come will be blessed. This is going to be a lot of work for us as we are working the youth tent all week, so please be praying for us as well that God will give us strength leading up to and during that week. Praise the Lord for how He is working in these kids lives!!! Thank you all for your prayers, the youth retreat was excellent. We brought 6 youth from reborn and 4 of those youth do not know the Lord. There eyes were truly opened as they saw other youth from around the U.K excited about what Jesus has done in there lives. We had a little over 50 kids representing 9 calvary chapel and we are already thinking about next year. The 4 that went are very hard, but we have been able to see the Lord's longsuffering work in there lives as they continue to come to youth group and are becoming more open to the truth.

We are so excited for this youth retreat coming up. 30 calvary chapel youth groups have been invited to bring there youth to the Bible college for an all weekend retreat. We announced it to reborn they were all so excited for it. Especially since they never really leave there town. Thank you Lord! He has blessed Calvary by the Sea with the priviledge of being ables host Bridlingtons toddler group. A group that was originialy run by the council was handed over to us. So now as mothers from around the city come into the church they get to enter act and make good friendship with moms who are walking with the Lord. We were praying that the Lord would bring more and more ladies and He has, there is now a good solid group that come each tuesday morning and it is so exciting to be apart of. Pleases continue to pray that the Lord will be speaking to the ladies as they enter into conversations about the Gospel.

As we are approching our 1 year anniversary of serving here in Bridlington, England we couldn't be more excited with what the Lord is doing in this northern town of England. The group of kids that He has brought to us continues to grow and He continues to answer our prayers toward them! These kids are constantly stopping by our house and never missing a friday night. They are bringing there friends and there friends are bringing there friends. This brings up another prayer request :) Servants! We are praying that God will raise servants among the kids and/or bring others in from anywhere who have a heart for the youth. There is such a need for strong leaders who know the Word and have a burden to share it and live it. What an awesome thing in this country to have an average of 30 kids turning up every friday night, it is really not like this culture, youth groups are not a popular thing here, so to watch this take place in front of us we can only turn to thank God and cry out for more to serve. VAN

Please join with us as we seek God's will in praying for a vehicle (van). Last year we were able to take the youth by train to many different places, which was nice. But the train tickets get pretty expencive and we know more youth could come if we had are own vehicle. We are praying specifically for a van that would seat at least 7-9 youth :) We want to take kids on trips to the Bible college in York, hikes in the forest and just outings in general. Here are the updates on the 4 specific kids that we shared with you:

Danny:
Danny has stopped helping out with worship at the church. He is busy at University and planning to go to America with Loren on this November. He's not currently working on the Reborn website either. He is deepening his relationship with the Lord, but we rarely been in contact with him due to business of school schedule. Please pray that he will be able to find christian friends still, though he has been making it to the York Bible College campus and HAS made friends. And, that he will just continue to learn and establish solid ground with the Word.

Rob:
Rob is still doing GREAT in Austria. He has started these things called "Chuck tracks" which are bible studies with from Chuck Smith. He loves them. He is still praying for his sister Becki. His great aunt just died today actually. We just got off the phone with him and he is pretty upset. Please keep him in your prayers for continual growth and foundation, and him and his family with their recent loss.

Danny C.:
Danny is still waiting to make the decision if he wants Jesus in his life or not. He is still at Reborn faithfully every Friday night. We just learned that he loves Tobey Mac! Ha... Keep praying that he will be overwhelmed at the fact of how much God loves him. He just started college this year... he says he's doing alright.

Becki:
Becki, Rob's sister. We haven't seen her at Reborn since July probably! We know that she has been staying over at friends a lot. We just saw her the other day for the first time in ages. She seemed alright and had a huge smile for us. Rob is actually coming home to visit for his 18th birthday and his family, including Becki are super stoked to see him! Be praying for the witness opportunities. We all have felt at times we're sure how difficult it is to witness to your own family. Keep praying that Becki will commit her life to her awaiting loving Heavenly Father. Pray that she'll come back around to Reborn if it's God's will.

Sunday Mornin

We have started a youth service on sunday mornings. The first one was on sept. 27. There have been around 10 youth kids coming consistently to the morning service, so we prayed about it and the Lord laid it on our heart to start a service for them. We are going through the book of Galatians and learning what it means to fully follow after Christ. We ask for you to please pray that God will be the one leading us in teaching them on sundays. This is truly a miracle that kids in England are coming to church on sundays mornings, this is not a normal thing. So we are really in awe to what the Lord is doing!!!!

Thank you your prayers concerning the youth here in England. It has been very exciting to watch the Lord work in these kids lives. Lately the youth girls have been showing up more often to Reborn. They have even been coming over to our house to hang out with Randi. What an answer to prayer this is. One of the girls is Rob's sister and she has been more and more open to the gospel since her brother gave his life to Him. Please continue to pray that the girls here will find christ and not go the way all there friends are going.

Hike @ Dalby Forest

What an awesome time we had in the forest.... I took 7 kids for an afternoon hike and bbq. Only a few of the kids know the Lord so it was a great time to share Christ with these guys. We had a Bible study in the forest and learned about the broad and narrow way. These kids come to Reborn every friday so they here the Gospel quite often. But some of there home lives are absolutley terrible. So we daily pray that they will open there hearts to Christ.

We are so so so thankful to all our friends and family for your continuing love and support. Thank you for staying in touch and really caring to hear how we are doing over here in England. We know that we are growing tremendously spiritually, and in our marriage. Although "growing pains" are unpleasant at times, are hope is in Christ Jesus.

Our prayer is that we continue to realize why we are over here and not to lose heart in the discouraging times. We've been experiencing moments of, "Wow, we really are different in a lot of ways!" (Us and the British culture) We are thankful for our relationship with the pastor and his wife over here. Please pray that our ministry team (us four) will continue to grow in grace and understanding for eachother. Uplifting one another with the Truth.

Our hearts for the youth are growing and for Bridlington!!! We have an upcoming outreach project. We are going to go to every residence in Bridlington and pass out a postcard with the gospel on it and info. about where our church is at. We are also praying that God will use this outreach for street witnessing and that we will be able to have an abundance of opportunities to share with people one on one. There are two parts to Bridlington... the "rougher" area where they are in "need" and the ritzy area where they don't "need" anything! This is going to be trying physically (we're walking) and emotionally.

This quote we found in a book is how we want to live: "God give to us hearts that bleed, eyes that are wide open to see, minds that are clear to interpret God's purpose, wills that are obedient, and a determination that is utterly unflinching as we set about the tasks He would have us to do."

This is Danny. He has been coming to the youth group since he was 15, he is now 21. He is at that place in his life where he has a choice to make, whether to follow the Lord whole heartidly or to continue holding on to the things in his past. He is now beginning to serve in the church! For years he played in secular bands, but he is wanting more in life and last week he led worship :) He really does know that God is speaking to him and wanting to lead him on. He is out of college for the summer so him and Zach have been hangin out just about everyday. Our desire for Danny is for him to step up, to begin to leave things behind and to press on. He has many opportunities such as going to Bible college or serving at church here or at the castle in Austria. So we are praying that the Lord continues to shape his heart in to a servants. Please pray for Danny that will have ears to hear.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! Rob is now at the castle in Austria serving in the coffee shop and kitchen. He is in such a great environment to grow in his walk with the Lord. He will meet christians from all around Europe and even the world, who are either missionaries or are on church retreats. Please continue to pray for Rob since he is a new christian and I know how much the enemy will try to destroy him. I have told him that our friends and family back home are praying for him and he couldn't even believe it.

Rob, one of the youth who gave his life to Jesus last year, is leaving for Austria next week. He has decided to serve the Lord over at the castle, which is a retreat center for groups who come to grow in the Lord. He will be there for a year growing in the Word and seving. We are so excited for what the Lord is going to do in his life. Rob has talked about wanting to go to Bible college after that year. During our time here he has been such an amazing blessing to us and a great witness for the youth around him. Please be praying for Rob that he will continue to follow the Lord whole heartedly.

Worship Leader

The calvary chapel here in Brid has not had a worship leader for quite some time. For a few years now kids have been coming up during the semester, but when the semester is over there is no more worship. The congregation has been praying for someone to either come here or step up in the church. So we are asking for our family and friends back home to pray for a worship leader, someone who will be a worshiper both with there music and life.

Please pray for Rachel, who just gave her life to the Lord, her parents strongly believe that calvary chapel is a cult and won't let Rachel come to the church anymore. So Randi hasn't talked to her in quite some time. The pastor wrote a kind letter to her parents explaining who we are. So we ask that you all would pray for her parents' eyes to be open. It is really such a bummer cause she was growing in the Lord. But we know God is good and has control!

First Youth Outreach Day!!!!

Hi guys,

We can't believe that is even the title for this blog. Tomorrow the 21st of March we are going out into the towne for an outreach. This is something that we invited the youth to do with us. As you guys know there are about 5 youth kids who are saved. To our surprise a group of about 10 sincere lads and lasses want to come out with us.

PLEASE pray for this event. The youth are wanting to hand out leaflets and invite other youth to our Reborn (youth group). We also explained to them, (especially those who are saved) that God might be calling them to talk and tell people about Jesus and what He has done on the cross. They've never done this and are nervous. Pray for their sweet hearts. Pray for God's guidance with all of our words and actions. Pray for every aspect that might come up in your heart about this event. (representation, sincerity, gentleness, appropriateness, etc.)

We know and keep trusting the Lord full heartily. He is El Shaddi the Almighty God! We are praying that He will do work thru our group tomorrow that is glorifying to Him. And that the kids have FUN! inviting people to their youth group and sharing about Christ.

Yeah!!!!! This is a blessing and we are stoked for tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. We've heard from quite a few of you one way or the other and appreciate it so much! (hint hint) :)

A life changed

Last Friday night a girl asked Jesus Christ into her heart! :) Her name is Rachel. Please be praying for her as she begins her journey. She is the first girl that has done so in this youth group.

On Sat. the 14th Randi is going to be having an all girl hang out day. Be praying as Rachel comes and brings some of her friends.

Beach Day

We took some kids to the beach today, just to hang out. We had a "well" good time. We played frisbee, badmitin, soccer, telephone pictionary, etc... These kids were Danny, Ryan, Liam, Luke, and Rob. There some of the kids who come to "REBORN" youth group on friday nights. Danny and Ryan do not know the Lord so we are continuing to pray for them. It really has been so great to get to know these guys, we are excited to watch them grow in Him.

Please pray that The Lord will provide for us the right flat (apartment). We really want a place low in price and, most importantly, right in the town center where all the kids are. We want our flat to be a blessing to the Lord and for Him to use it the way that He desires -- so please pray. Thank you back home for all your love. We continue to pray for all of you.

Friday night

Wow!!! The Lord really is working here in Brid. Thank you so much for your prayers!!!! There were over twenty kids there on Friday night and we studied what the Word says about putting things in our ears that are not from God, like evil songs. They had so many questions and thoughts and really are hungry for the truth. There is a group of six kids who know the Lord and we daily pray that they will become more and more rooted in the truth. These six kids are so new to the faith, but God is reveiling to them so much and they are able to answer some of there non-believing friends' questions. It is really so exciting to be a part of this and to be investing into these kids' lives. The need for role models in their lives is so great. We will soon have pictures of them and we ask for you to keep them in you prayers. We love y'all!

WE MADE IT!

Wow! We made it to Bridlington! It is so great to be here and to be staying with the pastor (Lauren) and his family (Jeanna, Audrey, Ashley, and Caedmon). Tonight will be our first church service since arriving and it will be so nice to be with everyone. Friday will be our first youth service so please pray that the Lord will continue to work in the kids' hearts this week so they will come to youth group ready to learn. We need your prayers as we will be looking for a flat (apartment) in these coming weeks. Thank you, guys, for all your prayers and support. We love you all so much!

It's been awhile!

We would like to SHOUT out a praise! We have raised the amount of support needed to take off. Although there is more support to raise, we have no doubt that the Lord will provide in His way and in His timing.

We depart @ 8:45am on Monday Feb. 2nd.

Pray that our packing and farewells will go smooth!

Hearts that want to serve

The Silver Streaks group at Calvary Chapel Olympia have asked us to come and share on Dec. 18th 2008. Some of them have shown interest in supporting us.

We can't wait! Many of them are our close friends.

We thank God for this opportunity and for the love that has been shown our way thru these truly wonderful people.

PLEASE PRAY we will all be a delight to one another while talking about the youth in Bridlingtion.

"Same Page" Care Team :)

We had a care team meeting on Sun. the 30th of November. Brian and Marvy were missed along with Paul, our pastor at Reality, who is now coming to the meetings. Keith and Julie Robinette live in Colorado.

This care team meeting was centered around finding structure to the group and future meetings. IT WENT WELL! :) We all gave some honest input that could help eachother out.

What was accomplished:

Delegation of jobs
To do lists
Brainstorming for upcoming meeting agendas
Answered questions

What YOU can do:

Building and maintaining a care team can be strenuous on all members. Please pray for unity as we all work together in serving our Lord and the youth in Bridlington.

We look forward to our next meeting two weeks from now.

Our hearts for the youth

What an awesome opportunity we got to live among the youth kids of Bridlington this past July!

This coastal town is packed with kids who are facing crucial decisions of their lives, decisions like a belief in God or a relationship with Christ.

These kids are heavy on our hearts and in our thoughts to always be praying for and to be with.

It is so great to preach Christ through simply hangin' out and living life. God has been growing our hearts for these kids more and more and through this we have been getting absolutely stoked!

We can't wait to get back to the relationships that God has already started to build!

Our care team meetings are going very smoothly!!! Thank you for your prayers. Every other week we as a team have been getting together and preparing for what's ahead. It is so exciting to see the Lord's hand in this!

Zach's visa was approved! YESSSSSS! Now we are waiting on Randi's.

Randi's dental work is underway and only 20% of expenses that we had planned for!

The majority of our support letters have been sent out! Thanks to Dottie they look great.

First Care Team Meeting

Randi and I met with our care team to set the foundations for our futures serving the Lord in England. What an awesome meeting. I love everyone! God is truly blessing us with true fellowship. Along side the complete love and support from our families, we want to share with you guys who is on our care team. :)

Financial Advisors: Brian & Marvy Muckian
Prayer Support: Keith & Julie Robinette
Moral Support: All of them because they love God and us.

Together we opened up what is going to be a long journey. We enjoyed a nice dinner together and shared how the Lord is working in our lives. Please feel free to go to anyone on the care team with questions.

We have a few prayer requests that will give you all an opportunity to start supporting us right away:

Pray that our visa application process will go smoothly.
Randi has some much needed dental work coming up.
Prepare the hearts of everyone involved.
